At first I was like oh no, another cliche teen movie, but I loved it! I didn't even watch the trailer (don't do that) and if you are wondering if you should see this movie, THEN JUST DO IT! I could really relate to Nadine and I don't understand why everyone hates her. At first I was like oh no, stop doing that, but then I realized I was her once, lmao. SPOILERS ALERT. She had her reasons for being this way! Like, first of all, her father died. The only person who really cared about her and made her happy. You can already see it in the start, when her mother just show how much she adore her brother. The mother was a shitty person and mostly loved her brother. I hated her mother for saying that her father would be dissapointed in her right now. I would be pissed if my father had died and my mother said something like that! Another reason, well, she walks in on her bestfriend (bestfriend since they were little) and see her fucking with her brother, how would you react? And then they are fucking dating afterwards and not even apologizing. They make it seem like it's Nadine's fault and that SHE is the immature one, but again, how would you react if you were Nadine? The brother has everything, the mother's love, good friends etc. and then he steals the only thing she has? Wow. The best friend also suck, because she didn't even try taking her back. She didn't even care. Idk about you, but I would never take a guy over my best friend. A break-up with a bestfriend is harder than a break-up with a guy, just saying. I would do anything to have a bestfriend right now. Another one, then they are fucking inviting her to a party with them and Kristy was a shitty person for not introducing Nadine to the others. I'm just going to play with the others, well okay bitch. I could just feel how Nadine felt, because I have social anxiety myself and my old bestfriend was like Kristy. She knew I hated parties and that I was afraid of being awkward and just end up alone, and my bf was always like Relax, I will be there for you, but she would always go away and trying to please the popular guys, so I would always call my mother to pick me up like Nadine did. And when she wrote to that emo kid and took on a date with him and she didn't want to have sex, well, I have been there myself. I also said no, but he kept on doing it and well, I don't want to go into details, but I understand her and felt sorry for her, because he was really shitty. The last thing, well I hoped she would end up with the asian guy, because he was good to her and cared about her. I knew a guy like that and I regret I was too shy and took the bad guys afterwards. Stupid. I could really relate to everything in this movie, just not the thing with the brother, but I love when you can relate to the characters. I also loved that it was a bit comedy in it. Btw. I know she is portrayed as the awkward and weird one, but why do they act like she is uglier than her brother and everything. Hailee Steinfeld is fucking gorg. Great actor! AND ONE THING MORE, I love the teacher! He is the best in this movie, hahahhh. AND LAST THING, sorry for my bad english, it's my second language.
